This purchase was my second attempt to find a decent but inexpensive little camcorder to use as a body cam. Although it costs a little less than three times as much as the first, it's ten times more expensive, if not more. After setting the date, time, and resolution settings, I was able to do some real-world testing. I've attached a short clip from the funeral service. I tried not to include other people's faces, but I think the clip shows three things very clearly. 1) The camera transitions very well from the room (narthex church) to the street brightly lit by the sun. That's at the very beginning of the clip when I left the church. The rest of the clip demonstrates 2) the camera's ability to handle motion appropriately. I walk pretty fast, turning back and forth to look at the beautiful buildings and structures, and I think that's pretty good for minimizing the jumping and bumping. Keep in mind that this is a relatively lightweight device that hangs in a jacket pocket by a plastic clip. No fancy gimbles or carts. And then 3) outstanding video quality! I'm amazed at how sharp and clear the video is from this little camera that costs just over $30. There are a few things that I think could be improved. The instructions could be a little clearer. Audio is weak - my voice was fine for the most part, but not so great when others were around. The device sticks out when plugged into a PC USB port, just like my laptop. More than once I've accidentally hit it a little and turned it off completely. A short USB connection cable can help here. Overall I am very satisfied and more than happy with this purchase. It successfully completed a real world test where it worked and recorded more than two hours (including driving time) and another test is coming up this week. This option suits my needs. It's relatively small but has a good solid weight. It fits and hangs well in my jacket pocket. It's very inconspicuous - nobody commented on the funeral service with "What's that sticking out of your pocket?". The video is excellent, sharp and clear and will definitely serve as a valid record. And most importantly, it's very affordable. I would recommend this camera to anyone with similar needs.
