Our kittens are very spoiled and love this toy. It is difficult for a less agile cat to rise above the house. It even took our skinny little crazy cat an hour to figure out how to get upstairs. Also, the upstairs bed is SUPER small and cats are fatter than ever these days, I don't know why. We glued a larger cat bed onto it - it looks like part of the structure and gives our 1 cat that can fit in there a lot more sleeping space. In fact, we put him by the window in our bedroom and he sleeps there every night - even over our bed! Our fat cat sometimes climbs in the house, but since she has claws, she prefers to scratch tree trunks. She still hasn't figured out how to get to the top, although I think she gave up right away. But she can scratch the post while our second cat is in bed which shows how sturdy it is. Also, assembly was very easy. Our cats knew it was for them and were immediately excited to climb into the house and onto the bed before it was even set up.
