Review on πŸ“· Tamron SP AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 Di USD (A005) Lens for Minolta A by Kenta Sasaki ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I definitely recommend buying, I didn't notice any disadvantages.

To begin with, I would like to note the quality of workmanship, indeed everything is done to the highest standard. Optically, this glass cannot but please with its image, especially at focal lengths of 70-200mm, then the resolution decreases slightly. The contrast and pattern are top notch. Bokeh up to 135mm is also at a height, then, with increasing focal length, it begins to distort. So, at 135mm, excellent half-length portraits are obtained, and facial portraits are generally a fairy tale. At the initial focal length, the depth of field is small, but this is not a drawback, because. treated with diaphragmatic closure. The lens not only fulfills its cost as a telephoto by 100%, but also surpasses its competitor Sony 70-300 ssm.

Pros
  • Manufacturing quality. My copy is very sharp at all focal lengths, even wide open, which speaks volumes about its optical quality. It seems that this should be enough for a thing from which, using, you get pleasure.
Cons
  • The resolution of the lens is lame at focal lengths from 200 to 300mm.
