Review on πŸ” Enhanced Replacement Mirror Glass: Fit System Driver Side for Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Caravan, Grand Caravan, Plymouth Voyager by Eric Fuego

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well, but beware.

I ordered this for my city and country in 2007 because my passenger side mirror had an appointment with the garage door and was cracked. The first thing to note is that when you get a mirror, it's not necessarily "wrong". Both sides of the mirror are well mirrored. If it's for the passenger side, just flip it over. Next, remove the old mirror. Not so easy. Mine gets hot and the whole back is glued to the plastic case. Some recommend taking a hammer and breaking it. Not me. I tried that and after breaking the mirror it just broke into smaller stuck pieces. The way I got it off was by taking it apart and then inserting a flathead screwdriver between the plastic and the mirror and slowly prying them apart. Adding a new mirror was easy. Since my second mirror was heated, I left the ends of the wires intact and wrapped them with tape in case I ever decided to add another heated mirror. I hid them and went to the mirror. Simply attach the two included double-sided pads to the mirror, then press them against the plastic and reattach the plastic to the mirror body. I quickly noticed that the new mirror vibrated a lot, while the factory mirror didn't. To reduce vibration, I inserted a folded piece of cardboard behind the mirror's center support, then added silicone (as per previous review). This reduced the vibration and everything in the world is back to normal.
