3 Customers with brand new Phaser 6510DN printers are experiencing the same error between 10,000 and 14,000 prints. . All 3 printers had a grinding and burning smell after 10-14,000 prints. Xerox covered the warranty but I was told it was due to the quality of the compatible toner. Xerox is aware of these issues and has changed the printer firmware. Any firmware after December 2017 will not support compatible cartridges. (Firmware versions 64.21.81 and latest 64.31.81) If you want to save some money on toner, spend it on repair work. Search online for genuine Xerox toner and save yourself the hassle. No, if the cartridges were close to page range even at 5% coverage.
