Secure car phone mount with some limitations

I am using a car vent mount with an iPhone Xplus (larger cell phone); This rating is based on this device. Overall, this car mount is good. Its price makes it competitive with other similar offerings. I found the connection from the mount to my car's air vent easy to use and offered a relatively firm hold. There are two different "settings" on the car mount vent port; I've used the tighter of the two settings and have never had a problem with the mount detaching from the vent. The toggle switch on the back of the mount is the access point to the vent mount settings and the handlebar. Once you find the correct voltage setting, you most likely won't need to change it. Although access to this toggle switch is on the back of the mount, you won't be using it often. My favorite part of this mount is the seat that the phone itself sits on. The seat offers enough space for a large phone like mine when open. To fit your phone into this seat, simply squeeze the side of the seat until it is snug. It's very simple and you'll be using it a lot, which is why I get a lot of points for being so easy to use and adapting well to the phone. The release button that allows you to remove the phone from the seat is at the bottom. attachment center. You simply press this button to open the holder's "jaws" and pull the phone out. Relatively simple, but if you press the button while holding the jaws or other supporting fastener, the jaws won't open. It's not hard to guess, but this part of the design could use some improvement. As for the seat, I've found that when you turn on the air conditioning in the car, when you press the button to open the jaws and release the phone, the mechanism is a bit as the bracket attaches to the car's air vents becomes difficult to open. This is because cold air flows from the deflector directly onto the mount. I used this mount during the summer months so I came across it quite often. I'm sure other mounts have the same issues. This in no way violates the terms and conditions; Sometimes all you have to do is use your fingers to spread your jaws. Easy enough. What I like least about this binding is the adjustment collar, which is accessible from the back of the binding. This ring is designed to screw in clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen. Getting the angle and orientation of your phone right when you're in your car seat involves making a lot of adjustments to get everything right. That means you'll often use this collar to loosen/tighten the binding until you have it where you want it. Unfortunately, the collar is a bit awkward to access and harder to tighten and/or loosen (especially on larger phones like mine, which weigh more and are longer). I've found that if you loosen the collar a bit, at least on my phone, the mount becomes too loose to even let go. It's a problem when you try to fine-tune it (which you do). The other problem with this collar is that you have to unscrew this collar to rotate the mount to hold it if you want to switch between portrait and landscape modes. phone in different positions. So more interaction with that shoulder bolt. After a while I gave up turning the phone to landscape and only regularly used it in portrait because it was too much of a hassle to reorient the phone. Finally, for a phone my size, I wouldn't recommend the landscape mount. The jaws holding the phone fall below the middle of the phone. So if you hold it horizontally, the phone will shake a lot while driving. From my point of view, my phone is too heavy and too long to use with this mount in horizontal position. However, it works great in portrait mode. I wish the collar screw adjustment was thinner and more accessible (make it bigger so it's easier to grip and rotate) and I wish the bracket's seat was a little bigger so the jaws could grab the phone in the middle, huh Grip provides a firmer grip, reducing the wobble you'll notice while riding. I suspect this mount will work well with a small cell phone. Overall this is a good product and I use it daily with no problems. Once I adjusted the seat properly I left it alone and it stays on my vent even when not in use.
