Not sure. I remember the IT guy at work was always a stickler for the right charger for the right phone and I really didn't want to order a new phone. So, like most people, I have enough phone chargers in my house, and when the cleaning lady left for the last time, one of them was gone. This cable and adapter work great on my I-Phone 7 plus. Not saying I was disappointed with the cleaning lady but I bought several 2 packs so I didn't have to switch them from plug to plug so my wife could charge hers while I was charging mine. . It's really that hard to get good help these days lol.
