Review on Proform 69501 Aluminum Differential Stabilizer by Carlos Barete

The product looks good and seems reliable. However, the adhesive surface was very grainy. Like Nestle Crunchish! And it had about three fairly deep pits. The scarred areas are difficult to see because the surface is painted black. Also, the quick assembly instructions make no mention of load pin washers or how to install them. Since this is my first time doing DIY, my first batch was unsuccessful. I ended up leaking. So disassembled, cleaned and reassembled. Cleaning the adhesive area confirmed my fears about pockmarks. The pits (pre-installation) were filled with threshold sealing for bonding. And I couldn't get it out of the holes without possible further damage. Decided to reinstall but with a gasket. That's when I discovered the tear-off rubber rings that can and will get stuck in the indentations of cargo bolts. After installing in installments and following all the recommendations, I still encountered a leak.
