Ordered this tool as an alternative to the Park Tool BBT-9 to remove the outer spline snap ring for disc rotor replacement. The fit is so loose that the tool cannot adequately grip the splines. It slips off very easily and causes damage to the tool and/or workpiece, further degrading the fit. This may work for removing a bottom bracket where there is a thicker spline for the tool to grab, but will not work for removing the outer spline snap ring. When I used the Park Tool version I was able to remove the locking ring without the same slip issues. I'm not sure if this problem is related to this particular tool or the construction of the public/private key.
