Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good first set, too many small

Update 11/21/2011: I am correcting this rating from 3 to 2 stars. It was fun for 1 day/session. Now my kids don't even want most of them as most are about the size of gravel. Give away/throw away. I have never bought a gemstone/gemstone set before. My kids and I enjoyed it. My only complaint is that many of them were so small that they weren't even worth sorting, they were almost unmanageable, like large grains of sand - almost as bad. Might look good scattered on the shelf, but don't think they're all like "patterns". I think the set could be improved if it were changed to give you 40-50 large sizes instead of 250 with lots of small ones. Overall it was fun. I would probably buy another set over time, this time with larger gems. We have identified the majority. I couldn't say some. Some were not listed. Not that useful. There were some good fossils including a 1/2 ammonite shell and shark teeth. Overall fun.
