Been looking for a heat exchanger pot for ten years, but until last June there was no buying crisis. Back then, you had to use your own stove while driving. The design of this particular stove not only has a heat exchanger, but also a narrower bottom of the kettle and a skirt to force the hot gases to envelop this bottom of the kettle. . The result is not only better heat transfer efficiency, but also a lower exhaust gas temperature, so there's less chance of something melting around or getting burned. Lid and lid handle/lock feel sturdy and fit well. The 1.7L capacity is good for 4 people, but that's when I cook my style :) To give a little insight, I've been hiking and mountaineering for over 5 decades and would highly recommend this pot!
