These are some of the best synthetic watercolor brushes I have ever bought. They hold significantly more water than my other synthetic brushes while still retaining their sharpness. The size 6 and 8 brushes can create solid strokes as well as fine details thanks to the precise tip. Instead of using multiple brushes to illustrate, I can now rely on one brush when needed. But I will say that I don't think the sizes are standardized because they don't match my other brushes. Round 6 size is similar to my 3rd round in my other sets, 10th round is closer to my 6th round. These brushes are a bit small for me, but I'm fine with that because they fit my needs well. They also have a nice click that snaps back into shape after pressure is applied. I've noticed that the length of the bristles is also longer, which I think helps increase the amount of water they hold and their ability to hold a point while saturating. I definitely recommend these brushes for beginners, intermediate artists or any artist looking for good brushes on a budget.
