Review on πŸ’‘ Dorman 645-607 Lighting Socket: Unmatched Illumination Solution by Robert Morrison

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I disassembled it and didn't have to crimp. πŸ˜‚

I bought a pair of non-brand ones, one of them broke. but I learned something by figuring out why. I prefer OEM parts but they are a bit pricey so I went with a Dorman part as I only needed one. Parts are interchangeable with OEM, Dorman and other brands. Yes. I took it apart because the crappy ones I bought were a learning opportunity. Basically there are 2 small protrusions on the sides that hold the inside. Take it apart and the wires can be pulled out. Practice on the original still in your truck to get the hang of it. Do it at your own risk, if you are careful it will work. otherwise you will break your new one. Buy a Dorman part, avoid all the cheaper ones.

Pros
  • Pigtails and sockets
Cons
  • Negative impression
