Perfect Happy Good for Electrics

Perfect for DRL Housing for my 2000 GMC Sierra (new body style not classic) K1500. Both the left and right sides were brittle due to thermal overload, and several replacement LEDs were also purchased so they wouldn't suffer from future overheating. DRLs are only 2 wire like these, some other bulb holders (warning, brake lights etc.) are 3 wire for multiple use but I haven't had heat stroke on them so I still have OEM sockets. They connected easily and snap securely into place.

Cheap replacement

As an engineer (and feeling the need to err cautiously) I wanted to compare the ACDelco LS94 version and this one. My experience with Dorman aftermarket products over the years has been good or bad. So I wanted to give them a good shake and compare this Dorman socket to the LS94 ACDelco version. Upon delivery you will immediately notice by visual inspection that this Dorman socket is a few notches inferior in quality to the ACDelco socket. I bought a pair of non-brand ones, one of them broke. but I learned something by figuring out why. I prefer OEM parts but they are a bit pricey so I went with a Dorman part as I only needed one. Parts are interchangeable with OEM, Dorman and other brands. Yes. I took it apart because the crappy ones I bought were a learning opportunity.
