I work in the IT industry and needed a clear monitor for programming and reading. This 4K monitor is perfect for that, it's very sharp and clear. Works pretty well with Windows and Mac. I use it as a second monitor for my Mac laptop for office work during the day. I also use this monitor as an entertainment device for my Windows machine (for gaming, videos, etc.). Games played very smoothly. First I had to do one very important thing - calibrate it in Windows. The default settings are too bright, foggy and deep black (in Windows you can find a tool called Display Color Calibration). If the settings were changed after calibration, the same settings are also reproduced very well on a Mac laptop. The Mac has a Retina display and goes with it. In fact, I prefer this display over the Retina display, that's my pick. Pros: * Crisp and crisp * Very bright * 4K * Responsive * Very easy to read and program Cons: * No way found to set auto-brightness control * Settings control features are missing, not configurable * Overlay message cannot be enabled on startup (just annoying me) * Factory presets are useless, you need to calibrate * Again, most presets are useless, I wonder who they are designed for * To not use monitor sound, just buy some speakers. Overall I am very satisfied considering the amount I paid.
