This does not have a dedicated plate to attach Velcro to. So that means it's awfully, awfully strong. I think manufacturers did this to allow consumers to customize it to their needs. As a survivor struggling with both lymphedema and mild arthritis (I'm in my 60's) I just couldn't untie the Velcro. My husband helped me. I've also found that it just doesn't do what I really need: compression where my right breast used to be. I went back to a prosthetic sports bra so the side panel would provide compression. I prefer to be flat. . . but PT says Squeeze!
