The model that was delivered was defective. After the 30 day mark it started to take its toll on me with OSD freezing, power outage and harsh green flickering meaning I can't get it back. Image quality in the 709's full-range mode is mediocre at best, with continued whitewashing. playing a role in giving this device bad reviews. There is an unacceptable effect of light bleed on dark text (slight bleed). At a 60Hz refresh rate with the 4K option, you get what you pay for and it's about as low as it gets. I'm very surprised as Samsung usually releases decent quality LCDs. The corners here are cut. You really get a kick out of it. Mine is unstable not only when gaming as it keeps going black and the OSD freezes and doesn't respond to a power outage! In this case, I have to physically unplug the monitor to reset it. I've checked cables, all my PDUs, my GPU is working fine under full load, and COMPLETELY ruled out my tower as the problem by directly plugging in a Roku box and trying my tower that way. The problem still occurs. I wouldn't recommend buying a 4K monitor at this price point. Save a few hundred dollars ($499 guide price) for better quality. Samsung cut corners on this model and I'm one of those unfortunate people who paid the price for trying to save money on a budget and I got a faulty model that hasn't lasted more than 30 lasted days.
