I used magnets to attach a Halloween themed plastic wrap to our steel front door. I had to use 3M adhesive foam pads to mitigate the magnetic sticking to the door. Without the foam disc these magnets would be very difficult to remove. Handle with CAUTION --> While I was working to apply the foam separators to the magnet board, I was working on a board about 10-12 inches from the magnet stack. , when the one I was holding grabbed the stack and flew into the stack. Sparks flew and a disc magnet shattered. I found granular pieces in a stack along with some very sharp magnet shards. I also found a large chunk about 4 feet on the ground. I would recommend eye protection and work at least 60cm away from the main magnet stack.
