I am revising my review. I bought this as a link between my HT and a coax fed antenna and it worked fine for a while. The purpose of my purchase was to relieve my radio's antenna connector by placing a flexible rod between the radio and the antenna. It worked fine for a while, then it got disconnected from the SMA connector. I tethered it to my HT radio to ensure it wasn't subjected to much stress, but that wasn't enough. He collapsed under the influence of his own self-inflicted stresses. If another company offers these, I'd happily buy one because I don't want to stress my HT's antenna connector. But nobody else does. However, it is not fair for the manufacturer of this product to advertise it as a solution. It cannot be called permanent.
