Very very cheap plastic.
I am very disappointed with these chairs. First, I didn't know they were plastic. When I saw the photo, I just thought it was a tree. Plastic is not mentioned in the description either. But it is mentioned in very small print at one point on the website. They definitely don't make it clear that they're plastic. I don't think I will use them because as soon as you sit on them you are afraid that very thin legs will break out from under you. I'm not that heavy a person. And I feel very unstable in these chairs. I would avoid it.
