I am very disappointed with these chairs. First, I didn't know they were plastic. When I saw the photo, I just thought it was a tree. Plastic is not mentioned in the description either. But it is mentioned in very small print at one point on the website. They definitely don't make it clear that they're plastic. I am very happy with this set of chairs. They're light but strong, slim and attractive - and surprisingly comfortable for a plastic chair! The backrest and seat are slightly curved, and for an average 5ft 7in adult, this chair feels ergonomic and promotes good posture. I bought these chairs for a table in the basement where my teenagers and their friends play and do crafts. I originally had wooden chairs and they don't last long from shaking, scratching and paint. I have this and another style of chair from the same company (cross back dining chair). If the price and the design are acceptable to you, I would recommend these chairs. The one in the photo is next to where my child's shoes are kept in the closet so they sit on them to get dressed. in shoes in the morning or sitting to take them off. It works for the use I use them for (kids sometimes), but I really don't feel like they are durable enough for regular use on our kitchen counter, which is where I originally intended to use them.
