Better than a regular plastic chair but not suitable for heavier people

I bought these chairs for a table in the basement where my teenagers and their friends play and do crafts. I originally had wooden chairs and they don't last long from shaking, scratching and paint. I have this and another style of chair from the same company (cross back dining chair). If the price and the design are acceptable to you, I would recommend these chairs. But it's not a bad choice. and better than any plastic chairs I could find in the same price range. I expected these chairs to be similar to what I might find locally. . . but they are thicker and stronger. They arrived fully assembled and securely wrapped in cardboard and paper foil and bubble wrap. There was no damage or deformation. These chairs aren't made out of thin, flexible plastic as you'd expect, but they're not as strong as the wooden chairs or other plastic chairs I mentioned earlier. I weigh 240 pounds and they swing quite a bit for me as they do for my 150 pound spouse. But they're good for my teens and teenagers, so they should serve a younger and lighter audience well. The seat is flat and I found I needed a seat cushion if I was going to sit on it for any length of time. The back height is good as is the seat height, I have no problem getting in and out. The bottom of the legs of these chairs have no glides to protect the floor from scratches and stains. Both chairs had sharp edges on the underside that I had to sand down and will use my own sliders. It would be nice if this was included.
