I have decided to upgrade my 25 year old motorhome. The power cord originally pulled out of a hole in the side of the RV. I leave it on when I park at home and have decided to eliminate the possibility of bugs and mice getting into the camper through the space around the cable door. Also, if you plug the cable back in when it is unplugged, dirt and water must be wiped off the cable or it will get in with the cable. This kit comes with all the parts that need to be installed and the price is probably better than buying everything individually. September 18, 2020: Worked for a while. I kept trying to find the source of the burning smell. I thought the problem was the hard start capacitor which I installed in the AC until I removed power from the RV. I installed this kit in October 2019. I had left the AC on for a week when I noticed the smell. It would be nice if this item had a guarantee.
