Review on Globe GS Boot Skate Shoe for Men by Robert Aliraqi

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Looks good, heels rather than boots.

Excellent high top. Although they look like boots, they're not bulky at all, and the outsole is reminiscent of an ultra-flat skateboard shoe. Very thin and discreet even at my huge size 14. Comes with a great cushioned insole which is much more comfortable than the Vans Pro insole although I usually have to swap them out for soft arch supports due to my bad feet. The supports are in place because they sit as low as possible, and the high top cut means you can snap them in tight. I like the looks too much to skate new ones, but after Winter beat them up I might try them out for skating. This is a low top version of their GS shoes and they use the same sole as their Rodney Mullen shoes so they have little potential although the suede is quite light/thin and might not stand up to too much tape grip. The textile collar is also a bit stiff, which can make them uncomfortable to skate. But overall it's cool and looks very good for the money.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
