Review on Clamp Pliers Inches Flexible Cable by Wayne Ohlrogge

When I first started using them to remove radiator hose clamps they were fine. I was able to remove 4 clamps and remove two hoses. However, when attempting to reinstall 4 clamps, these pliers did not open the clamps far enough to allow for reinstallation. It seems to me that the cable mechanism has slipped and there is no adjustment or repair to fix it. After a lot of effort I had to use an old clamp pliers with a different design to finish the job. My old pliers actually worked much better, were easier to use, and got the job done. I don't know what happened to those new pliers but they were a waste of my money. They probably go well with the smaller clamps, but the larger clamps for the upper and lower radiator hoses could not be opened far enough to reinstall the hoses.
