In a recent power outage I hauled out my old battery powered camp lanterns, and both were dead, despite new batteries. When power returned I went to Walmart and saw these, and decided to give them a try. I haven't had to use them for an emergency yet, but I am very pleased with them. They are quite bright for their size, and seem to run a very long time on a charge. Another feature that I particularly like is that there is a port from which I can recharge my phone from the lantern battery. They are rechargeable from a USB cable, so any reasonable source of power will do.
