My kitchen is 20 years old. I always dream of doing it again but never have the money. One of the things I've always wished for was soft-closing doors. It's $50 per cabinet if you get new cabinets. Recently one of the hinges on our closet broke. So I looked for a replacement. I didn't know that you could get a soft close just by swapping the hinges. After figuring out which one I needed (lots of good videos on that here) I ordered a box of 20 to make 10 cabinets. We just made one that had a broken hinge and as you can see it works really well. The hinge fits perfectly in place of the old hinge. The screw holes were slightly offset, but using a drill to drive the screws in solved this. We haven't set it up yet, but it will hold the door and close it automatically when you push it. No more slamming closets or always open closets. I can't wait to do the rest.
