Advice before installation, for those who need a great plug
OK These plugs are not ideal, I agree. But I bought them knowing this and was willing to do a little work to bring them closer to perfection. At least for my use (with electronics as a hobby). Drill them with a #24 (0.152 in.) drill bit or equivalent. After that, they slide easily into each other while maintaining the perfect tension. Then, before you install the wire, put some solder on the end of the wire. Find it stays intact in the fork but also has enough "give" so that it wedges in during use but doesn't come out. Do this and you'll find that these forks are pretty much perfect.
