I bought this to use in my car with my AVIC8200nex head unit. Just checked. The main unit doesn't provide much power to charge the phone. So I bought a 36W car charger. Don't let anyone fool you. Apple CarPlay works! The cable looks and feels good. As it slipped out of the box, I was immediately amazed at how beautiful it looked. ☺️🥰 The chrome finish of the sexy braided cable is very beautiful. Not intrusive, but very pleasant. It's beautiful and it works. I've used it at home with a 12 watt iPad charger and it works great. iPhone cable for your deck, this is the cable you need. You don't need a USB extender with it.
