Received a free sample of this case to give an honest and unbiased review. I've used their previous clear case in the past and they work great. This new model is an improvement over the previous model and also has a smoky look. The cooling performance of this case is the same as the other model. However, the heat sinks on this model were anodized, which increased the emissivity of the surface and resulted in a slight improvement. Other improvements concerned the shape of the cutouts. On the back of the case, access has been drowned out a bit more, bringing the power and HDMI ports flush with the edge. This benefits the board a bit and shows the pressure I've experienced when using a different case. They also smoothed out the side where the SD card goes in. There is now a recessed area for easier SD card access where like the old design they had 2 lugs that acted as spacers rather than the case being completely flat. The final change is the overall shape. The screw points no longer protrude beyond the edges and the walls are set back. It's almost as if the old design is a minimally functional case, while this one is more polished and looks professional while still retaining some transparency to show off the Pi inside. The only complaint I have about this case is that the case screws are plastic, not the same black anodized ones used for the fan. But that's more of a personal preference than an issue with case design and functionality. The plastic screws work great.
