I bought these rods for an airplane model building project. I'm pretty sure using them was too big a project, but they were cheaper than wooden dowels and a lot stronger. Who cares if it's over engineered when you can get them for about half the price of wood. I never have to worry about them breaking or splintering. A little acid etch paint takes care of any corrosion issues and I'm good to go. I used a rotary tool with metal cutting discs to get the length I needed. My planes look great on coasters and never wobble. Thank you for this product at this price. I tell my hobby colleague about this find.
