The toaster's body looks pretty solid. I just needed something that would work well to get the job done and I also needed it to fit in the specific space I have. The stainless steel finish is a plus and is much easier to clean. By the way, not everything is made of stainless steel, it only looks like it. It also depends on how well it roasts. My copy of the toaster is fine. The toast doesn't seem as hot or dark as you might think, even on the highest settings. I'm not worried that I don't have any real dark toast at the moment, but currently it only seems to toast on medium to high (7). At least with my copy of the toaster. Another copy of the same toaster might toast darker and hotter, but not mine right now. Will be updated in the future if anything changes.
