Review on Graco 257025 Magnum Project Painter Plus Paint Sprayer by Troy Simpson

Disappointed best in Paint Supplies & Tools

I am extremely disappointed. I ordered a Graco Magnum 257025 Project Painter Plus and waited two weeks for the wind to die down and the temperature to settle before I could start painting. Setting up the machine is effortless and the step-by-step instructions are very clear. Once set up, I primed the sprayer, used two separate buckets, and everything seemed to work fine. I did a test spray on a piece of wood to determine the correct pressure for the flow and I was excited to get started. As I started spraying primer on my plaster, the machine started making noise and the pressure from the hose stopped immediately. I looked back at the car and now there was a puddle of paint on the floor and under the car. Apparently the spray hose is defective and not sealing properly when connected. Paint kept spattering and covering the painter's plastic I had put down. If I did this project in a door I would go insane. I have already processed the refund and will be sending the car back via UPS tomorrow. For a great looking and easy to use product, this fails. If I could charge the company for the paint I lost I would. I do not recommend this product as many negative reviews complain about the same seal/joint issue. Find an alternative even if you want to save a few dollars.

Pros
  • PAINT FLOW CONTROL: Fully adjustable pressure for full control of paint flow on projects of any size; The RAC IV Switch tip allows you to flip the nozzle when it gets clogged to keep spraying.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
