Great projector but use an HDMI adapter to connect your phone or tablet

I bought this projector to start my backyard movie nights and am very happy with it. It's not perfect, but works well enough for my needs that I won't be returning it. The picture quality is excellent, very clear, with good colors, dark and light tones. You can customize the settings to your liking. Brightness is good, but only in a room with the curtains drawn. I would recommend that you wait until it's relatively dark outside as I had trouble seeing the projection on the screen after sunset, there was still too much light in the sky for a clear and bright image. Controlling the projector is easy, with the choice of a remote control or physical controls built into the projector. While the physical controls work well, the remote control makes menu navigation a lot easier (requires 2 AAA batteries). The projector's speakers are adequate and deliver decent sound, and we were able to hear movie audio clearly without straining to hear dialogue. I prefer more powerful speakers when watching movies, but the built-in speakers worked just fine. A nice feature is that it connects to other speakers via Bluetooth, so I get the more powerful sound I like. You can also connect speakers via the 3.5mm jack. I've found that the best way to connect my phone or tablet to a projector to stream movies is to use an HDMI adapter (an adapter isn't included, but HDMI cables are included included, which is beautiful). ) and via one of the two HDMI inputs. Haven't tried the included RCA connectors yet, but I'm sure they will work fine. Now for the problem areas: the screen mirroring feature was patchy at best. There is a Wi-Fi or USB option. I tested both and sometimes the features worked, sometimes they didn't. The picture was cropped and only audio was playing in the Wi-Fi settings and there was a ton of lag and the picture was also cropped when connected via USB. I don't know, maybe it was user error. Overall I am happy with my purchase and look forward to many more backyard movie nights.
