Review on Sigma 20Mm F1 4 Lens Nikon by Todd Raynie

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Rest in peace with my lenses 20 1.4 in camera

I have had my Sigma 20 1.4 for about 2 years now and it has brought me a lot of value. However, the mount that attaches the lens to the camera is now removed and the lens becomes unusable. Now it won't focus (it already missed most of the time). After about two years of minimal use, I didn't expect the lens to fall apart. I suspect it's due to how heavy the end of the lens is compared to the part that attaches to your camera body. Will I invest in Sigma again? Probably no. My L lenses never had problems like my Sigma lenses. At nearly $1,000, I wish this lens had better build quality.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • Only available in black
