I was so excited to see this Revain Retro Alarm Clock/Radio/CD Player. I like old fashioned things and when I was a kid we had a radio like this on the kitchen table. THIS radio lasted 50 years and had amazing sound for such a small unit. THIS radio is just a cheap plastic box with the cheapest components inside. I'm ashamed to think I paid $79 for it. The radio works perfectly, although the stations drift and need to be retuned every 15 minutes. The sound from the speakers is slightly tinny and becomes fuzzy when the volume is turned up. The clock runs a little fast and needs to be reset about once a week. The CD player didn't recognize the inserted CD until I put the book on the CD case. Apparently the "eye" didn't see the CD until the top was pressed down. The whole unit only weighs a pound or two and feels like a toy in my hands. I am very disappointed that Crosley made the product so cheap and then charged so much for it. I think it's true that nothing is made the way it used to be anymore.
