I'm very happy with this DisplayPort to VGA adapter. I use them all the time as I replace many client computers but keep their old monitors, often only with VGA input and sometimes with DVI input. This is a full plug and play adapter. Just plug it in and it works. Just for testing, I tried it on a 24-inch Dell UltraSharp monitor with a native resolution of 1920x1200. I had no problems with the full resolution; the specified maximum for this adapter. Just a nice sharp desktop on a monitor. I also tried it on my native 1024x768 projector and again it worked great. This adapter fits my needs and the needs of my customers perfectly. These are mostly consumer goods, where the main variables are price and workmanship. Usually the main difference is the build quality. They are lightweight and I wish there was something more durable in my laptop bag to allow for many plug and plug operations. BUT, if you're setting up a desktop PC that can connect/disconnect every year or two, I don't think it matters that much. My expectations of this DisplayPort to VGA adapter were fully justified. That's why I give this machine 5 stars. It is well made and does exactly what I wanted and expected. Just plug it in and it works. Well!
