Like more than I've ever seen a kitten eat. I've worked in the shelter system for about 25 years, specifically with problem cats, so I know where I'm speaking from here. This cat burned 5-7 GLASSES of full size Whiskas every day (btw, to teach our soft-hearted 12-year-old where those jars are kept? Well, mistakes were made). Then one day, Biscuit, now a year older and a lot heavier, was gone. We put a mark, he was chipped, but either he hit something he couldn't break with (e.g. a Buick) or he fell into the basement and couldn't pull his bulk back, or maybe it was he abruptly and simply shocked . exploded and sprayed the landscape with Whiskas. Thing is, we've lost hope. Three months later our still soft hearted but already 13 year old stumbled upon a litter of 6 week old kittens living under the ramp to my wife's hospital. invigorated. So Miss Diagnosis and Mal Practitioner started living with us after the other four returned. Remembering last time, our son was warned against overfeeding them for financial or other reasons. The next day, without my knowledge, my wife agreed to babysit one of her patients, Mr. Byrd, while he was scheduled for surgery and subsequent rehab. Yes. And the first thing Big Biscuit did when he got home? Ignoring the other three cats' indignant looks at this giant intruder (as Biscuit continued its incredible expansion while he was away and his scale has now surpassed 28 pounds, more than our other three combined), he went straight to where we were fed. him all those months before, pausing only to nudge our Standard Poodle good-naturedly on the nose and let out his signature demanding growl. More specifically, its amazing affordability combined with its empirically proven acceptance by all four gourmet cat food critics who call my home "home" is probably the only reason MY family and I DO NOT live under a ramp. in front of the hospital. Of course, we go through 24 of these things every 4 days, so your mileage may vary, but if you want wet food that little pagans won't complain about and that allows you and your loved ones to still afford HUMAN food, you do can't do better. However advice? Avoid the taste of fish. I have no idea why, but it's well known in our family that if fish flavors were accidentally bought and someone heard Hitchcock leisurely coming out of the basement with a newspaper under his arm, it would take a HazMat crew to clean it up.
