Good organizers on storage shelves

I was looking for organizers for brooms and other long handled items both inside and outside my home and finally settled on the Minimal Joe 6 and 9 storage spaces. wall organizers. I prefer them metal, especially on the outside, which gets direct sun for part of the day (the plastic parts will fry and crumble). They were easy to install, with just two screws each, and to my surprise, the big one (9 holes) was stronger than the short one. By this I mean that if you remove a broom from the center slots, for example, the back panel will not "give" and detach from the wall. 6 slots have a small recoil. The back plates appear to be the same thickness. I assume this is due to the proximity of the mounting holes to the side faces. The short one is about half an inch inside the edge while the large 9 slot one is about two inches, more or less. The handles are very good. They grip from the thin Swiffer handle to the very large leaf rake. Of course, some great tools can overlap, but if you arrange them by frequency of use, you'll find the arrangement that works best for you. On the internal 6-compartment organizer we have a Swiffer, a broom, a long-handled dustpan, a dry mop, a cobweb rag and a short rag hanging from a hook. On the outer 9 slots we have a large leaf rake, a large floor wiper, two wet mops, two brooms, another long-handled dustpan and a window cleaning ball. They are ALL business side down, at different heights. On the back of the handles is a silicone pad that separates the handle from the wall; This makes the handle easier to grip and prevents scratching of the wall for most of the handle's length. We've found that the easiest way to remove an item is to grab it by the handle at handle level and press down on one side of the handle with your thumb. This allows you to let go of the item without straining the handles or backplate. To date we are satisfied with these organizers.
