Review on Plan Toy Geometric Sorting Board by Jessica Bohannon

Good sorting toy, baby loves it

My son's age is a little under the recommended age for this product, but I like to introduce toys that are a bit advanced, as long as they are dressed do not put any Choking hazard. I feel like you get more bang for your buck and enjoy it longer. At 18 months he tries to put the figures back on the pins after taking them off, but he lacks the necessary dexterity. So this "puzzle", if you can call it that, is still challenging and very intriguing for him. I think once he gets the sorting/stacking aspect down this toy will stop being fun and will keep. Now he likes removing the pieces, trying to put them back on the board and frantically throwing them across the room when he can't. I don't like seeing him frustrated, but I think it helps him to persevere and get the job done if he doesn't get it on the first try. The sorter is colorful, well made, there are no small parts in it. The only thing I can foresee is when the pin becomes loose, which I think has happened to some other reviewers. My son doesn't like his toys so I pay close attention to how he uses this toy. This is not my favorite toy but it is of the same quality as the others. We also have a cone grader and he likes that better at this age. Update 2-10-14 After playing with my son literally every day for a month my son can now put the pieces back on the pins. He loves this toy and it's the first thing he focuses on when playing. It is worth the money and I see that we will use it for other sorting tasks in the future.
