Great for rice, lentils, cereal, pasta, grains. Wide enough to hold a measuring cup. Fits perfectly on my wire shelf. Easy to clean dishwasher. Reliable Seals. If necessary, wrap the instructions in laminate and keep them in the container. I live in the humid Deep South and these fillings get in the way of weevils, moths and sugar ants. A packet of my grains was contaminated when purchased, and the container safely "contained" it.
