Review on Stainless Steel Percolator - Oregon Trail - 10 Cup Camping Coffee Pot by Mia Smith

I bought this coffee pot for 2 reasons. 1. It was the cheapest at Revain. 2. I wanted a good camping coffee pot. I was wrong about the second reason. The first time I used it to make coffee, it took too long to boil the water. I wanted to make sure it worked before taking it camping so I used it on my gas stove. Once it started to simmer, it was hard to find that middle ground where it simmered just enough but not too much. I actually thought I had found it, but each time I have been very disappointed. When I thought I had finally found it, I went to the toilet for about 3 minutes and in that time it completely boiled away because it ruined the coffee. I repeated the process the next day, assuming I was unfamiliar with this type of coffee maker. Needless to say I bought another one I found at Walmart for 20 and it worked great without a problem. If I could give less than 1 star I would.
