Very hard to find dental tape in general local grocery stores, pharmacies It's a good price and strength. I need waxed floss/tape because I have very little space between most of my teeth. A narrower floss would cut my fingers due to the pressure I had to apply to get between my teeth and break often enough to cause pain. I noticed this problem more as I got older, maybe the thread has changed or my skin has become more sensitive. The tape still needs extra pressure, but the width keeps it from cutting my fingers, and it's less likely to break due to the wider tape - just enough to make buying a more expensive tape almost economical and less frustrating when trying to get another one piece has to be cut. To be clear, I liked the floss, which wasn't waxed but had a slippery quality (not to mention trade names) but my dentist said it wasn't good enough for my teeth.
