Broken lid in the kitchen and dining room

We just received our order. One of the stainless steel lids does not stay on. I wanted a screw top salt and pepper shaker, not a cork at the bottom. So tinkered around, arrived broken. I want to save myself the hassle of returning it. Instead, I'll probably only use them for small flower vases.
