As others have said, for the half inch I expected it to be a little firmer and when I say a little I mean a lot. I've tried this type on my dryer vent, nothing particularly difficult, no hard obstacles, and yet it would get caught on a lint pile or bend and kept flexing back because it was too flexible. Roll over and over again, not just once, until the bundles of wires are wide enough to block the vent. Maybe that's fine for a narrow tube, but the hype about 3" fans is a lie.
