I like this sharpener. All my students say this is the best sharpener in school. The only problem is that the plastic tip on the sharpener broke off in the last few weeks of school. Cut clean. Had it been metal, this would not have happened. I'm glad he made it through most of the school year, but I was very sad that he didn't live to the end. For now I've "fixed" it with a paperclip pry bar until I can replace it. times, and it's shifting in general. I never used the clamp, it was pretty crappy, had to be a lot longer to be useful, ended up leaning forward and becoming useless. But sharpening, holding on to the tip, is not difficult. I really love this sharpener, all my students (high school) like it and they couldn't break it (until recently). Highly recommended, your students probably won't be as rude as mine.
