Top-Rated Pencil Sharpener for Educators, Classroom Use, Educational Institutions, and Professional Settings Review

As far as pencil sharpeners go, this is definitely the best I've ever had. However, the L-bracket is not long enough to attach it to a table or shelf, hence the 4 stars. Highly recommended for teachers from 4th grade upwards (a bit difficult to use).

Although the sharpener works very well, it doesn't hold up well on the table. When I asked they sent me a link to protect it with a product called Sugru. Since it doesn't come standard with the sharpener I assume they want me to buy it separately. I'm a teacher and I don't want anything permanently attached to the school furniture as I bought it myself. It seems to me that they should contain everything you need to mount a sharpener without having to buy it separately.

I sharpened a pencil. It worked. However, the instructions were not clear. I understand why some reviewers claimed it didn't work. My mechanically minded son came to the rescue. The clip that attaches it to the table is a joke. Nobody here has dealt with this part yet. This makes a very good point. Very good. I like this sharpener. All my students say this is the best sharpener in school. The only problem is that the plastic tip on the sharpener broke off in the last few weeks of school. Cut clean. Had it been metal, this would not have happened. I'm glad he made it through most of the school year, but I was very sad that he didn't live to the end.
