Review on ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ Saucony Men's Peregrine 10 GTX Trail Running Shoe: Enhance Your Outdoor Performance With Waterproof Design by Lakshmi Pennington

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Saucony Peregrine 10 rating

Saucony has gone retro with this model. I bought a pair of version 8 sneakers and they changed the shoe so much that I couldn't use it. The heel was too wide for technical descents and fast switchback turns. It was a far cry from versions 1-7 above. However, I did a short (8+ miles) trail run this morning. I swear I thought I was walking in a pair of 4's or 5's. Just the right amount of cushioning (not so much that you lose the "feel" of the surface) and the infamous Saucony stone slab that I ran into the stacks on purpose. Still works well (no stone chips). Also, I intentionally got the sole wet and then walked into several rocks. No sole is perfect when you do this, but the rubber used worked just as well as any other shoe I've worn. I would put it next to or at the top of the list. If there were 4.5 stars I would go there. However, I held off because I feel like they could have used better laces and I have yet to see how this shoe performs over much longer distances. Also note that this is a running shoe, NOT a hiking shoe.
