Review on πŸ”‹ Victron Energy Blue Smart IP67 Waterproof Battery Charger (Bluetooth) - 12/24V, 5-25Amp by Chris Quinto

Blue tooth app is missing and cannot be configured HIGH for LiFePO4

I think this is a great charger for lead acid batteries. But when it comes to LITHIUM they hit it hard but as a tech user you can't tweak the charge setting the way you want. 1. First, the absorption time CANNOT be set to less than 1 HOUR. It doesn't matter what they say. You can even set it to a maximum of 20 minutes, but if you leave the screen it will reset to 1 HOUR. And during the test it really does, a one-hour resorption phase. Lithium does not need it.2. All sorts of clues as to the chemistry of the lead acid remained on the screens. During the storage phase, the charger does not switch off COMPLETELY. It drops about 30mA into your battery. Lithium batteries should be charged and left alone. They don't self-discharge (much) and maybe once a month a brief absorption would be fine, but they don't need more than that.4. The Bluetooth app has a useless GRAPH tab that shows you a pretty image that has no value. Although the HISTORY tab isn't bad. Otherwise I think it's a well built block. Will a lithium battery hurt, probably not. But the disappointing thing is that you expect the absolute best, pay for it and don't deliver. Sort of like your BMW-712. I also bought one of these and compared it to a $40 model from China (both compared to a well-calibrated, reliable device). Guess which one is more accurate? $40 https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B088RG27LS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 pretty darn close to my trusted source. Victron showed an error of over 2% during a 20 hour discharge test. This is a disappointment. Don't buy the BMV-712, it's not worth the extra cost.
