This product works as soon as I put it on my scalp. It's not the best feeling in the world, but I doubt it's really true when you try to exfoliate your head. This is not a massage as some might think. The silicone fingers are stiffer than they look and they should be able to lift dead skin. The only thing I have is it barely touches my scalp and I have hair down to my waist. Basically I have to lift the strands of hair on top of my head because they tightly cover my head so the scrubber doesn't actually touch my head.
